Cross Game - Yes I Still Watch Anime
Not going to lie, when Kou came out and offered to catch for Aoba (who isn’t allowed to play in official games since she’s a girl) I started to tear up. Here she is, feeling utterly marginalized from her team while the guys bond over winning the first game and staying in the dorms as a team without her. So she’s standing out on the field by herself on her way home at sunset and there’s piano music and you’re thinking “Fuck. That sucks. Is she going to quit baseball?” When out of the dorm walks Kou with a catcher’s mitt, and all he says to her is “Wanna pitch, right?” Holy. Now THAT’S romance.
